There are a variety of poseable figures in the 6 inch range available from Japan, mainly Imperials such as Darth, Storm Trooper and Bobba Fett IIRC all in Japanese armour.

One source is J-Box on line, run by an American ex-pat living in Gunma. There is an amazing variety of Star Wars related memorabilia in their catalog so it is dangerous to your card.

You should try and find some of the Joe Johnstone concept art for snowtroopers for ESB (SESB sketchbook has some in it).

Totally went with the space samurai look with them.
