Or, The Games I Managed to Take Some Quick Snaps Of!

It was a great farewell to Kelham Hall on Sunday gone. no doubt a lot of people will be pleased to see the back of the dark dingy hall and the new management. I sort of have mixed feelings purely because Kelham has become a wargaming institution hosting Partizan twice a year!

There were a lot of games that were on display, all of good quality that I just didn't have the time to get around to as I was involved in The Bodkins debut with the beautiful Berne, Bay Berne! game. I'm very lucky to be a part of such an esteemed group of history buffs, painters and wargamers!

You can read and oggle at the pics of The Other Partizan Report here:

There is also a ton of pics of the Berne, Baby Berne game here:

Here's a few taster pics:

Cheers,
Darrell.

Last one people had there camera lights on to see the games , I gave up never missed on ever but last Sunday we said no enough, the staff there did not want any wargamers there and made it so , no food etc.
I feel sorry because it used to infuse us and a never miss, I been to the new venue its bright open and will be awesome, thanks for the pics

Lighting is the perennial problem with wargames shows. They normally vary from "not brilliant" to "nasty" – with the latter being either dim, off colour or both.

I guess because the venues are often either designed as sports halls or theatre style environments where harsh lighting might not be needed or wanted or – like ExCel* – a purpose built space that provides only the most minimal lighting as they expect to be able to hire out costly extra lighting to organisers at vast profits for the venue management.

Probably…

I don't take pictures at Wargames shows so lighting is never a perennial problem for me, decent toilets, cheap parking and good food often are though.
