Great information. There is some excellent information for creating an OOB's. Page 2 gives number of officer and men for each International contingent on the train to Peking. Nation/ officers/ men U.S. Marines 7/56 British 3/72 Italian 3/39 French 3/72 Russians 4/71 Japanese 2/24 Five quick firing guns (MG's) Also the writing of the time. Page 6 "Upon these three men rests the responsibility of Old Glory's safety on the war-threatened Orient. Minister Conger and Admiral Kempf are on the spot. While Admiral Remey is making ready to start thither from the Philippines. Should one of them make a single mistake the United States would be plunged into a war with the half-savage hordes of China. Millions of patriots pray nightly for divine guidance in their judgement." Wonderful find Armand, thanks! |
