If your not playing Flames of War, what size bases do you use for your World War II 15mm figures? I am currently using 30mm x 20mm, 2 figures per base. But thinking maybe going to 30mm x 30mm for future projects. Curious to see what others do. |

I base individually on fender washers. I do not play FoW and the like, just skirmish. |

I use 30 x 30, two or three figures to a base, with some single figures on pennies. |

I play Bolt Action in 15mm quite often. I have my figures mounted on 1/2" square magnets. These I then affix to steel plates to simplify movement. The plates are 3 X 1 1/2" rectangles for a squad of infantry, 1 X 1 1/2" rectangles for MMG and most other team weapons and 3/4" square plates for individual figures such as officers to help identify them as such. |

I base individually on 1/2" metal squares (if standing) or appropriate size metal bases if not standing. |

I also base individual miniatures on washers and teams of two to five minis on 40mm X 30mm plasticard bases. Cheers Rod Robertson. |

Don't play FOW but I like their bases. |

I've played several rules over time, presently some FOW and a lot of IABSM. My figs are based on FOW stands for convenience. A plus would be if ever resold it'a a popular system. |

I base them individually. I put my first batch on 1/2" washers but didn't like the height. Switched to 1/2" square metal and line the storage drawers with magnetic sheets. Weapons and their teams are individual as well so as to reflect casualties. Prone or large items go on an appropriate sized metal base as needed. |

I don't play FoW as I much prefer IABSM. However, my North Africa collection is 100% FoW and an 8 man section (reflecting effective strength after losses) looks very good on 2x medium size bases. It also has to be said that the ease of moving an infantry platoon in 15mm using FoW bases takes some beating.Platoon HQ and support (ATR and 2" mortar) also work well using FoW convention (small base in this case). That said, I also have a small number (probably no more than 20) Australians based individually for use when needed, e.g. Tobruk fighting patrols etc. |

30x30, 2-3 figures per base, generally as 'groups' – rifle group, gun group, crew served weapons etc. Some individuals on pennies (leaders, snipers, FOOs etc). I use the same scheme for all my twentieth century armies, from 1914 to 1983. |

1/2X1/2" metal bases. And for transport magnetic sheets on foam board. I have some old FoW bases around, from when that was played around here. And i wont bother to rebase, but everything going forward is on metal. Owen |
