I've done a bit of Googling, without much luck really, despite a pretty extensive word search on the obvious terms on the subject, which is a bit surprising.
So, does anyone know when the Danes switched over to their two-tone, green and black (faded to a charcoal gray color) vehicle paint scheme, and if most or all were repainted at about the same time?
The only reference I found was one mentioning that by 1982 the Centurions were repainted in the new scheme.
So, did the M41s, Leopards, M113s, and other vehicles get the same treatment, at about the same time?
How about their jeeps, landrovers, and trucks?
A couple of different sources suggest 60% or 67% green, and 40% or 33% black, in terms of the percentages of the vehicles to be painted in the two colors. Supposedly, the tanks were brush painted, so that makes it pretty easy. Later, apparently, some vehicles were spray painted in the new camo. scheme.
Thoughts?
