Ok just posting this because it caused us a laugh…
Played the old Warhammer "Ziggurat of Doom" scenario with a LotR's theme while camping at the beach last week.
The six Dwarves needed to protect the Ringbearer Frodo to win the game.
The Dwarves fight valiantly with the Knights Champion especially distinguishing himself before receiving an unlucky death stroke from a pair of lowly Goblins…
We were nearing the end of the game when the Goblins received an unexpected reinforcement from the Dark Lord himself….
He first attacks the Dwarf Cleric…
Before striking Grisbin the Thirsty from behind
Luckily for the Ring bearer he stays out of sight :)
He leaves the battlefield looking satisfied with his contribution
The epic battle nears its dramatic end with an Orc Warlock and three warrior Goblins taking on the lone surviving Dwarf Grisbin, and the remaining Hobbits, Sam and Frodo
who have remained out of the fight at the summit of the ancient Ziggurat
Grisbin heroically swings at the enemy taking down another of the Goblins…he has only one remaining wound however…
In an amazing dual the Warlock misses Frodo with a magical blast while Sam targets him with a rock that hits him square on the forehead knocking him clean off his feet and thumbling down the Ziggurat to his doom (it is a Ziggurat of ahem…Doom after all)
Final act: Sadly while Grisbin is busy protecting Frodo from the attentions of a Goblin's charge Sam is slain by the second. This immediately sends Grisbin in a rage of vengeance as he quickly dispatches the cowardly Goblin by relieving him of his ugly head!
Marvelous game and considering this was an ad hoc scenario it couldn't have been closer with Grisbin on his last legs and Frodo out of Fate Points.
Hope you enjoyed the Report :)
No caterpillars were injured in the making of this report…which can't be said of the poor bloody Goblins
