Hi All, I've just finished a couple of models to my Classic Wood Elf army. These were both incomplete and partially damaged sets that I managed to acquire reasonably cheap. With a combination of gathering spare parts and patience both models have come together fairly well. The Attack Chariot is a lovely classic 80s model but it had several broken and missing pieces. Luckily, the chariot itself was structurally sound and could be restored to bring it back to its former glory. The 90s Forest Dragon has a replacement tail end, tongue and repaired wing. I found a suitable Lord figure to tie it together with the 1980s style of the existing army. Hope you enjoy the photos. More here: link Cheers, Mick

Love that old lead. Very nice work on the repairs and on the paint jobs. |

Great work! But aren't the horses meant to be behind the cross bar?? |

Thanks! McWong – I think the cross bar is supposed to go over the backs of the horses. I didn't like the angle of the chariot when I tried that so went with a different arrangement. |

I forbid you from calling that classic, since I remember when it came out. Classic at TMP means twenty years before I was born when plastic wasn't invented and people of the median age here had to walk through snow and broken glass with bare feet for 20 miles every day and THEY BLOODY WELL LIKED IT and when you wanted to sculpt a hoplite miniature you went and counted the buttons on the nearest real-life hoplite NOW GET OFF MY LAWN. Until that came out GW had a very distinct coloured dragon theme, all with similar appearance. Then this thing came out and didn't match. It was too much for my adolescent mind. |
