Do you have a favorite company, that just doesn't release products as rapidly as you would like? |
MajorB | 03 Sep 2015 11:41 a.m. PST |
Why do people insist that miniature manufacturers have to keep "releasing" new products? One of the best companies I have ever dealt with is Navwar. Not only are they seriously not into the 21st century, they haven't released any new products for many years. |
Herkybird | 03 Sep 2015 11:57 a.m. PST |
ARES – Sails of glory models are veeery slow being released! |
Dynaman8789 | 03 Sep 2015 11:57 a.m. PST |
The Fireball Forward publishers. Same for TFL – even though they release more stuff! |
nevinsrip | 03 Sep 2015 12:01 p.m. PST |
Kings Mountain. Been sitting on 32 new figures for over a year. |
B6GOBOS | 03 Sep 2015 12:08 p.m. PST |
Frying Pan and Blanket miniatures. Great figures, reasonable priced and wide selection (well never did haters set). Lost my collection in our house disaster back in '03. Could not get in contact with them (no web page or email) so when I redid my rev war collection I went with other manufacturers. |

Flames of War. I want my Cold War minis and more of their terrain |
Mute Bystander | 03 Sep 2015 12:12 p.m. PST |
Nope, THW releases more than I can handle right now. Definitely NOT a complaint about that. |
79thPA | 03 Sep 2015 12:20 p.m. PST |
I don't expect companies to continually release new product, but I do like to see a concerted effort to finish lines. Hat Industrie is terribly slow with some of their releases. I think some of their Naps have been in the rough stage or whatever they call it for years. |
Texas Jack | 03 Sep 2015 12:22 p.m. PST |
While I agree with MajorB that Navwar is a wonderful company to deal with, I really wish they would produce the French navy of the Sino-French war. After all, they have the Chinese navy from that period already, but without the French how can you fight Foochow??? Oh, and more Spanish from the Spanish-American War would be great too! |
Chokidar | 03 Sep 2015 12:27 p.m. PST |

Wessex. A couple of their rule sets have been hung up for a long time, which seems to have held up getting their own aeronef back in production (which is what I really want). |
Garand | 03 Sep 2015 12:45 p.m. PST |
I'd like to see Essex release more. I really like their figures. Their 15mm range is pretty extensive, but there are some gaps to fill (like Samnites). Last new range I recall from them was 15mm Medieval Japanese, unless I missed something… Damon. |
McKinstry | 03 Sep 2015 1:48 p.m. PST |
Figurehead. The 1/6000 WW1 & 2 ranges are sooo close to complete but a few noteworthy units remain absent as does a significant chunk of merchant types. |
Jeff965 | 03 Sep 2015 1:48 p.m. PST |
Skirmish Wargames need to release more Colonial scenario books especially the Sudan ones promised. Ganesha games also need to release Song of Spear and Shield, that's been promised for absolutely ages now. And I would like Copplestone Castings to up their game, I'm a big fan of his figures and I wish he would do more. |
Buckeye AKA Darryl | 03 Sep 2015 1:51 p.m. PST |
+1 to Ares – Wings of Glory Great War aircraft do not come fast enough. +1 to companies completing ranges. Frying Pan has released new items over the last few years. Mostly War of 1812 (and really good figures, much more animated than their older releases). But the lack of a website does hurt them greatly. |
cloudcaptain | 03 Sep 2015 2:29 p.m. PST |
Another vote for Wessex. They make good rules. I wish RH models would start taking credit cards through conventional means. I know many who would buy monthly if so. |
MajorB | 03 Sep 2015 2:35 p.m. PST |
Wessex. A couple of their rule sets have been hung up for a long time, Wessex is a "one man band" and it is only a side line, not his main income generator. Sometimes RL has to take priority …
I wish RH models would start taking credit cards through conventional means. Not sure what you regard as "conventional means"?? |
Cold Steel | 03 Sep 2015 2:49 p.m. PST |

yes definitely Copplestone! Some more 28mm cavemen or Neanderthals would be cool |
cloudcaptain | 03 Sep 2015 3:42 p.m. PST |
By conventional means I am referring to Paypal or another payment portal. This is his current process: rhmodels.com/10.html He has a fantastic product line. I would own more of it if not for this issue. |

Eureka "Bush Wars" line promises and promises to fill out the line with certain figures for years now and we are still waiting. Recently announcing Rhodesian Bush Wars figure sets that have been available for years I find passing strange. Shorts and T-shirts were worn early war and the bulk of the war the troops wore full uniform overalls or jacket and trousers. "Grey's Scouts" were mounted infantry. We have them mounted and no way to portray them dismounted. If they have no intention of filling out the Rhodesian War line I wish they would say so and be done with it. |
wrgmr1 | 03 Sep 2015 5:17 p.m. PST |
Peter at Calpe takes his time, but produces outstanding figures. I would still like to see a Prussian Cuirassier. |
Major B | 03 Sep 2015 5:40 p.m. PST |
A Call to Arms 54mm/1-32 ECW. I would love to have some additional figure types. Cavaliers in floppy hats, dismounted Dragoons, Pike in breastplate only… Sadly I doubt that I will ever see any of these in plastic. |
Weasel | 03 Sep 2015 6:25 p.m. PST |
All companies should release more basic infantry poses :-) |
sharkbait | 03 Sep 2015 7:02 p.m. PST |
Nordic Weasel – Ivan hasn't put out a new set of rules in at least 2 days! Seriously, just Rebel Minis SciFi minis in 6mm! |
Henry Martini | 03 Sep 2015 7:18 p.m. PST |
OG15s hasn't had any new releases for years and there are some obvious gaps in the catalogue, such as 17th Century Muscovites and Crimean Tartars for BFaS as an alternative to the bespoke range, which isn't to everyone's taste. |
mandt2 | 03 Sep 2015 10:18 p.m. PST |

I'm a small 25mm figure fan and would love to see some Classical size ship crews from anyone – roughly 1880-1030s – including both military and merchant navy figures. Basically pulp era. |

Old Contemptibles | 04 Sep 2015 2:43 a.m. PST |
All companies should be more active. |

Peter Pig. So much more to do. |
the trojan bunny | 04 Sep 2015 10:25 a.m. PST |
I wish Great Endeavors kept expanding the Ral Partha colonial line. The company doesn't even seem to promote themselves at all as far as I have seen. It's one of my favourite lines of figures and it's a shame it doesn't get more attention these days. |
ACWBill | 04 Sep 2015 10:56 a.m. PST |
I find this thread fascinating. When I started my company, I vowed to have a complete line of ACW 10mm figures before moving on to my next range. While I am close to that now, I am always thinking of something else I would like to have in the range. I have had to make a second vow to stop by adding to this line by the end of the year so I can launch my Mexican-American War line. I know my sculptors are probably going crazy trying to keep up with my product plan. : ) |
Gunfreak | 04 Sep 2015 1:30 p.m. PST |
Aventine, ok mabye not more releases but more of those i want. More hellenics ect. |
DWilliams | 04 Sep 2015 6:19 p.m. PST |
Old Glory 15s!!!!!! Please find that sculptor and pay him some money to complete the ranges you started! |

@Rallynow … please refer your question to the Chancellor of the Exchequer in London. He'll explain it all. |

DWilliams – apparently Andy Cooper of West Wind did the ancients, and as we know he's been a bit busy lately – but as for the rest… |
