I recently posted on this set, but here are the remaining figures. I only had one prototype green for the first ad. Here are the rest of our 10mm Irish Brigade set which I hope to have ready in October. Thanks, Bill crackerlineminis.com |

Great looking figures as usual Bill! Question though. What is different about the Irish Brigade uniform as compared to any other Union uniform? I know they carried the green flag into battle. But what are the other differences as pertaining to the uniform itself? |

Sprigs of boxwood in their forage caps were worn at Fredericksburg. Check the work from Don Troiani of the same title as this post. I asked Robi to add these to the figures. Of course, if you wanted to use them as Caldwell's brigade or any other figures wearing great coats and Forage Caps, a quick run over the boxwood sprigs with a file would work. |

Good grief. 10mm. Amazing. |

But what are the other differences as pertaining to the uniform itself? The New York Regiments in the Brigade wore the New York State issue shell jacket, rather than the sack coat and would have worn them at Fredicksburg. Of course Bill has faithfully reproduced this under the greatcoats actually worn on the day! :o) |

Yes Trajanus, that goes without saying. Robi always puts on the undergarments first and works his way out. : ) FYI I am soon adding Confederates in shell jackets and kepis to the line. In fact, Bob Soutar is working on them now. I point this out as the simple application of a file to the top of the Kepi will produce a forage cap, thereby giving you the uniform you mention. One could also simply fill in the kepi top with putty or yellow carpenters glue will do the trick if you have no desire to file. |

One other note on that. It would be a fairly easy conversion for one to use the CS troops in shells and kepis to make the 79th NY in their early-war garb. A little putty and the flag bearer could be holding a bagpipe. Paint the trousers as trews and voila, the 79th NY. |

Nice figures, I like the boxwood. Of course, as a member of the recreated 28th Mass I am a bit biased. |

@JtG-I will probably base my Iron Brigade for the Fredericksburg scenario on that flag. I wrote the scenario for the brigade rules back in 1999. |
