Nice old CrescentRoot buildings. They can work for so many different games.

Razor7803 Sep 2015 7:04 a.m. PST

Yes I liked the line so much that I bought it and now sell them.

WOW…I did not know Crescent Root was you…nicethumbs up

Is this work mods of series 1 or is this the yet to be seen series 4?

Really a nice paint job on those buildings, but your layout has a lot of wide open spaces. The ranges for bows and crossbows is 24 inches. When I playtested the rules, I never had more than 12 inches of open space across a plaza and even then, there were statues to hide behind. It could be that you have impedimenta to scatter about for your games.

I'm not Crescent Root, but I bought all of the resin masters and the production rights from Mark (who still owns CR). Mark decided to quit doing resin and switch entirely to painted MDF and I was fortunate in that I was able to keep this great line of resin building going. If you want some great MDF buildings then I can't recommend Crescent Root enough. But if you prefer resin, like me, then visit my site, The "Art" of Wargaming at:

Excellent!

But I second the call for more scatter terrain.

This looks great! I like seeing examples of non-snow-covered Frostgrave tables.

Nicely done. Who manufactures the road map, if you don't mind me asking? I have been searching for one and have so far not found one that meets my criteria, but that one looks like it's ideal.

Thanks

I could be wrong, but it sure looks like an Urban Combat 2 F.A.T. Mat.

Carrion Crow08 Sep 2015 2:44 a.m. PST

You are indeed correct regarding the mat, Canuckinator. Must have miised this one in my endless quest for a suitable gaming surface. Thanks for the pointer.

Mithmee08 Sep 2015 7:01 a.m. PST

I do agree that the road areas on that mat are far to wide.

What's Frostgrave?

Thanks,

Dan

That's probably a good place to start learning about Frostgrave. We've been enjoying it.

Cacique Caribe08 Sep 2015 5:50 p.m. PST

Wow. Very cool. Thanks!

You can get the book from Amazon fairly cheap.
