After a long hiatus, I've been looking at Loose Files & American Scramble again. My American Revolutionary figures haven't seen the table for a few years. I notice that movement is simultaneous and orders are given. I don't recall playing it that way. I guess I could stick to really simple orders like attack, defend and retreat. If orders are indeed part of the rules, there seems to be no definition of them anywhere. I always liked these rules. |

Agree one of the best out there, concise simple and above all playable. You could have orders on a set of cards which are given for the pips to the units and placed face down behind said units then revealed and acted on, a bit of argh! generalship to the game. Cheers happy gaming |

When we have played we used order cards as well, just placed behind each unit and then revealed. Mike |

Just ignored the order thing. Once game was underway and units removing d points or firing (so not moving) cut down a lot on movement. But I like the idea of order chips and will try it next game. |
