Also know as Meryl's last sortie as he had to go home to PA.
This time we had a pair of Hs129B2s and Fw190Fs beating up on some Soviet tanks. 6 Yak7s were out to thwart them. 4 Fw190A were also up in the air. I brought a pair of P39s in to help out as things started badly for the VVS. Final score was 6 Yaks and one Airacobra down, incredibly one of the Hs129s was blasted out of the sky by a Yak (Meryl rolled snake eyes on his robustness throw)and a Fw190A also went down. 8 tanks were claimed by the ground attackers.

Looks like it was a great game, could you post the scenario?

Hi RAF,
I don't write up scenarios because I never know how many people are going to show up on any given night. Last night NO ONE came by!
This game as the description in the flickr link pictures state had 2) Hs 129B2s and 2) FW190Fs coming in to attack some Soviet tanks and AAA. They started at least 20 hexes from the target which they had to spot at level 6 to 8. Yak7s (we made this into 2 players with 3 planes each-that could certainly be changed) started in the Soviet third of the table at level 4 to 10. Another German player had 4) Fw190As coming in from the German third at 2 levels higher than the Henschels and FWs. More players come add more suitable planes. I added a couple of P39s when it became obvious the Russkies needed help.
It really helps to have some idea of what units were around when throwing together games. If you're not sure than use one of the excellent CY6 books to base your games around.

Glad you guys are enjoying CY6 – looks like a great game.

Yep-great set of rules and as I mentioned above, very versatile.
Tuesday night is also X Wing and Armada night at the shop. Interesting to see people head over to our table and marvel at how we can put on a 3D game that involves what would appear to be more complicated physics than space travel and get folks involved in playing in just a few turns.
I even managed to get them to bring in the rules to sell.

CY6 is an excellent game. That looked like a nasty fight.
