"Along with the first character photos a new trailer has been released last night at those godawful MTV Awards for upcoming new epic fantasy series SHANNARA which is, believe it or not, arriving to MTV next January. Set thousands of years in the future in the world of elven kingdoms, the ten episode series will be the small screen adaptation of Terry Brook's popular fantasy novels. Austin Butler leads the cast in the lead role of Wil Ohmsford – half human and half elf – who discovers that he is the last of the legendary Shannara family."

Well, I'd watch it – but it looks as if they've got Allanon all wrong (second picture in Tango01's post). He was more….Strider crossed with Gandalf…rather than Azog the defiler. Oh well. |

Oh look at all the petty individuals. Though I bet the bad guys will look evil. I read the books and I really doubt that this will follow them. Bet there will be lots of angst in it. Hot looking Elf though. But she would need to lose the outfit if they want me to watch it. Since that is not going to happen I will pass on it. |
