You don't fire with a bow, you shoot with it.

Helped me a lot with this link

Well it would be useful to know what manufacturer these figures are from for a start …

Tango0131 Aug 2015 11:30 p.m. PST

Tango – There is not one single word on Uwe's blog that indicates that these are Italeri. Guess work on your part…?

MajorB – If you check a bit further back on Uwe's blog, back to April of this year, he did two posts that offered at least a bit of detail on the archers:

In his first post it looks like Uwe started with a couple hundred archers that are already painted in the post, hard to tell which maker. In his second post he offers pics of his friend Alfred merrily hacking up and converting archers. Again, hard to tell for sure but it looks like almost every maker of medieval longbowmen is represented. I compared some of the "bits" shown to figure sets on PSR, there may even be some parts of Airfix Robin Hood sets there. Looking at the tub of raw figures that Alfred is working from there could be a good half dozen makes represented. Also, looking at a few of Alfred's individual conversions, some of the "bits" could be from figures other than archers as well, especially the lower half.

One thing about Uwe and his group of friends/associates, when they take on a project like the Poitiers diorama they go all out. Between rounding up every available figure that "works", they add in extensive conversions, Massimo's original sculpts, and even conversion "bits" that Massimo has sculpted to help the other guys with their conversions. Considering that they needed over 1000 archers alone for this diorama, that gives you a lot of scope for figure selection.

Impressive.
Looking at the pics..the makes are:
Italeri, Zvezda, Airfix, Revell/Accurate,Orion and Strelets, with a lot of conversions.
