So finally, after a long path to get here, I finally got to try the game in preparation for the game I'll run at Millennium Con.

I did one detachment of Hammer's Slammers, vs two detachments of New Ukranians ( this were Veteran detachments, not Elite NUA )…

Simple game, the Slammer's had to take control of the main intersection at the heart of the city.

The objective was to get familiar with the rules more than anything else.

We had time to run through the scenario two times..

second game

Both times the Slammers had some tough luck and both times they were defeated!

Everything worked well and I can start to understand how my game will play out at the convention.

One quick question for John… I need to downgrade the New Ukranians to Veterans to make the game work better with the minis that I have and the players I want to get on the game…

Good fun, it will be a fun game at Millennium Con..

Based on what I saw in the rules, it seemed to me that multiplying the points by 70-75% was a reasonable adjustment.. I'm not having strict point values equality but I am using it for an overall idea to get the game roughly balanced… Does that 70-75% modifier seem correct or would you recommend a different modifier ?

regards,
Francisco

That is a very nice game layout, Francisco. Huge hat's off to you. Good use of card scenery and other stuff together.

The tanks look very nice too, especially as you said that some of if was a first try for you: great work.

Are you publishing any reports or blogs that I could link to on the Slammers site (and/or pinch pictures from grin).

As I said here TMP link , about a 20% drop would probably do the job so making them 75% of the original costs would be a good rule of thumb, I reckon.

Like I said, more details on how it went please!

Thanks guys…( as you recall these were painter under the instructions you gave me :) … so you guys made it possible )

I don't have a report on this one yet, plus it was a very quick test..

I will run a more sophisticated test game in the next month or so before the actual millennium game and I'll post a good AAR then so you can link it…

I call second to the last piccie SERIOUSLY up close and personal!

You're only the second person I've seen use the electrical box for a terrain building. Did you snag the idea elsewhere?

Haven't gotten round to giving it a go, yet, but now I can blame you AND Jason when I do. ;->=
