So after some years happily selling and spending I think it's all over. We've stopped talking and I've lost custody of the account; we disagreed with just about everything and the final straw was when I wanted to put a few minor things on the system … nothing big just a few figures but no! The lawyers said I was untrustworthy and feedback about my postage rated me at 4.6 out of 5 or some other impossible target and my score of "100% positive feedback" was apparently inadmissible. So I have left! Looking for a new relationship where I can conduct my sordid Wargaming business in the company of like minded traders; so if anyone knows of any dark alleys and dubious locations for the transaction of pewter and plastic and money in order to gain a few fleeting moments of Wargaming nirvana please leave a note in public place for everyone to read. |

Thanks guys … new about all the above, just wanted to rant about ebay and how the little guy can now be turned to one side; so many shops in that space that the simple domestic seller can become a victim of the protection racket. |

I must say that eBay's policies are really a bit too much for me to stomach, now. Between them and the USPS not permitting 1st Class packages to be insured any longer, so they can charge exorbitant fees for their Priority Mail Service (gets there in the same time as 1st Class Mail), virtually all my international sales dried up. |

Dave, There's ebid – uk.ebid.net similar to ebay but not as big and therefore not quite as arrogant. |

I was recently lead up the garden path by an eBay shop. The folks at eBay, however, didn't want to know. Ergo, eBay now have one less customer. |

I used to sell on Fee-Bay but now I'm contemplating my next move…. Tired of looking at piles and boxes I will never get around to painting or gaming with. |

Hi RM, same thing happened to me recently. I had an eBay shop for nearly ten years when I cancelled several transactions to help out a buyer who was new to eBay and couldn't work out how to pay for multiple transactions, eBay didn't like it and immediately shut down my shop, despite 100% feedback and a score of almost 3000, and there is no appeal. Don't you just love 'em |

I parted with ebay over two years ago now due to the same metrics crap. I had been with it since it opened and had 98.8% feedback. I have heard ebay wants to be like Amazon now and just sell new stuff. I hope they complete the transition so Amazon can beat the pants off of them and then buy them out or just put them out of business. |

I seem to recall that there was a wargames-specific auction site set up in the UK a couple of years ago. Anyone know what happened to it? (Note: I'm 99% sure that I'm NOT thinking of Bartertown UK.) |
