The headline for the above link is: "George R.R. Martin Reveals Key ‘Game of Thrones' Character Is Still Alive." In the above story, Martin is only referencing Stannis Baratheon for the books, not the TV series. |

I figured he'd still be alive, as we never saw Brienne finish him off. I'm hoping that theory holds for the Hound as well… |

Martin has leaked a few chapters from Book 6. One features Stannis interrogating Reek/Theon, who is hanging from the wall in chains. Apparently he made good his escape with Fake Arya. (Book reference) As for the Hound, he has been spotted living at the hotel where all the GoT actors stay at in Belfast. |

Remember that the Novels and the TV series have parted ways. Just because a character is alive in one doesn't mean he's/she's alive in the other. |

Thing is will he be alive by the end of the books? Quite possibly since Martin is very likely to die before he gets the story finished. |
