I'm currently working on painting up some minis for ITLSU and have had a crack at converting Eureka British in Sinai 15mm gun crews into heliograph teams.

I've posted some pics on how I approached it on my blog if you're interested.

Nicely done!

Excellent work. When the British in Sinai made the 600 Club cut, I tried to get Eureka to include a heliograph team but failed. You have made it look simple, but I suspect your talent level is several notches higher than mine!

Thanks all, for your comments ;)

I agree, Some Chicken, it would be great to see this range expand. I will add my voice (a bit late) over the counter at Eureka!

Really, the hardest bit of this is glueing the tripod together. My scratch building is pretty hit or miss (like my gaming!).

More to follow.

Cheers
Alan

Clever, as is The conversion of the Range finder to a one with binoculars.

Thanks Paul. It was staring me in the face – amazing what a few snips will do! I'm working on an Ottoman signals section now trying to scratch build a blinkgerat – a signalling lamp powered by acetylene.

But, the main thing off the painting table this weekend were some Battlefield Accessories hasty entrenchments:
