On the left 3 x 25mm Sash and Saber figures and on the right 3 x 26mm? or 28mm? Old Glory 2nd Edition figures. All Miniatures sculpt by Chris Hughes (Sash & Saber Castings)

Even though sculpted by the same guy, my preference leans towards Sash & Saber figures. I wish S&S figures could be had using the Old Glory Army Discount card!

Nice brushwork, by the way!

Can you even get Sash and Saber through Old Glory at all anymore? They seem to have disappeared from the website.

@ Jon
I agree Sash and Saber are the best and fantastic sculpt figures for ACW and small range of Napoleonic's. Chris Hughes at Sash and Saber does offer discounts for bulk buying and free shipping over $200.00 USD

@ jowady
Sash and Saber figures are available at Pennsylvania – Old Glory 25s website.
link but no discount prices.

Well put Jon.

I would mix those figures in a unit, some guys are taller than others.

WarWizard30 Aug 2015 4:32 a.m. PST

I mix both of these brands and I think they look great.

GoodOldRebel30 Aug 2015 3:14 p.m. PST

Have to say when stood side by side like that I do prefer sash & sabre

avidgamer01 Sep 2015 8:35 a.m. PST

I always mix mine. These two go well together. Between the two they are my 'go to' ACW figures. I like the S&S for their more realistic poses and equipment. The metal and plastic Perry's are nice figure (human sculpting) but they are not very good at ACW historically speaking. There is a lot that is wrong… sadly.

uglyfatbloke02 Sep 2015 7:58 a.m. PST

That's disappointing Avidgamer since we have hundreds of Perry's figures – and many hundreds of others too. What's wrong with them?

Darkoath08 Nov 2015 2:22 p.m. PST

You can still get Sash and Saber figures through Old Glory and get your OG Army discount. I just received an order of them last week.

GoodOldRebel09 Nov 2015 4:05 a.m. PST

Recently I have discovered that both Sash&Saber and Old Glory can mix together reasonably well?

GoodOldRebel09 Nov 2015 3:43 p.m. PST

That should be Old Glory and 1st Corps …..makes soooo much more sense now!!

d effinger11 Nov 2015 1:17 p.m. PST

Sash and Saber with Old Glory discount card?! I thought that for S&S it was NOT doable. Since when did OG okay that?
