Hi, slightly out of my comfort zone here and looking for rules to represent the air element over the Sinai ( in support of a land game) . I think c21 may meet my requirements but I would need some idea for stats for a mig 17, I understand that using the mig 21 stats would rate it far too highly.

Any help appreciated

Are you talking first or second edition? If second, thats the A4 one with all the illustrations, both are included in the stats if you are talking the first edition, A5 only about 16 pages, I should have stats somewhere drop me an email on

Check the C21 Yahoo Group, in the files section.

There should be a file there for Korean War aircraft, and the slow jets are given uprated speeds and thrusts in order to permit a bit more granularity between the early model jets.

Note – the stats for these shouldn't be used with later aircraft, since there will be a mismatch because of that.

Crikey, I see a steep learning curve, mismatch with later planes? My spread is mig 15, mig 21, phantoms and Skyhawks, possible extending to slightly later for Iran/Iraq. I will end up simplifying, as the focus is on the land side, but would be remiss not to include air support .

Actually, the rules are very simple.

If you want to use them with later jets, and don't see stats for them, just adjust the speeds accordingly – pretty easy to compare to one another, and use the closest similar aircraft's stats for maneuverability (Mig-17 should work for maneuverability, though the Mig-15 should be slightly slower in terms of max speed and thrust).
