I've got a Seelow Heights game coming up on Saturday and I needed some marshes for my board. They needed to be fast as I don't have a lot of time, look nice and be easy to store. They're pretty generic, so I reckon they could do for Napoleonics, Second World War, Fantasy, etc. You can find a step by step tutorial here. Part One – link Part Two – link Part Three – link All in all they took about two and a half hours to make ten five inch marsh pieces. So I'm very happy with them. |

Still looks like a lot of work to me! And keep the kitty cats away or else they will probably do their "business" all over them. Actually, that might not necessarily be a bad thing! (Just kidding.) My "marshes" consist of bits of lichen and other organic refuse scattered from a container across a piece of blue plastic sheet. When it is just the blue plastic it is a pond/lake. When covered in organic refuse it is a "marsh". Not nearly as detailed and "eye candy" worthy as your work, of course…. |
