Hi all,

I asked this on the SP forum but I'm not sure how much traffic there is there. If anyone can help with the question below it would be much appreciated.
In Sharp Practice, if you have a formation made up of 3 groups, a big man with 3 initiative could use all three initiative to order that formation.
In La Longue carabine one of the changes is that there is no limit to the number of groups a big man can command so if you have a big man with 3 initiative wanting to order a formation of 4 groups would he just use all three initiative to order the group?

sent a link to the TFL mailing list, should be someone along to help answer the question soon.

That is my impression. As long as those groups have been put into a formation they may all be activated by that Big Man no matter his level. If he breaks off a group, then that would cost an initiative point.
That change is a good one imo.

The chaps are quite right. One a Formation is created the whole thing activates for one Initiative Point. So a Status 1 Big Man, could in theory, command a Formation of 100 Groups. However, it would take him all game to get the men into that formation.

Love the 2FL rules for SP and the La Longue carabine supplement can anyone tell me why the change for Command points are a better option for the Big Men LLC? I thought having limits was what SP was all about, am I missing something?
Cheers and tally ho Gentlemen

It's not a change to command points.
It's a change to the maximum size of formation that a big man can command (a change which is also in Terrible Sharp Sword, and which I'd guess will be in Sharp Practice v2).
Just makes formations a bit more useful.
