……are starting to appear in the shops. I have seen the ZSU-23-4 and the 2-S-1 so far, no idea about the Vulcan or M109 releases |

What scale please? Is this part of the 1:100th hard plastic Art of Tactic series? |

1/100th same as the Bradley etc |

Hmmm, I'd kill for a proper M114 for the US Armored Cav units. Those little tracked vehicles were supposedly pretty lousy cross-country, and tended to throw tracks, but they look pretty cool, and were pretty fast. I think all of the Zvezda land vehicles are 1/100th scale. Aircraft and helos are 1/144th. Infantry are 1/72. Seems a very silly mix to me, but apparently some people don't care about scale. |

They are listed as 1/100th, I have just ordered two each of the Shilka and Gvozdika models and will let you know how they come up. Regarding the scale mix, this is to support their own game not necessarily cater for the wider wargaming market. Means that they have appeal across a number of scales. I nearly went into 20mm and had some of their infantry which were quite neat. Regards |

Vehicles definitely 15mm. Infantry is 1/72 though. All the Soviet kit is excellent, though the BTR80 and the T72b are a bit outside the time frame I'm playing. Abrams is rubbish. |

agree about the abrams. I had to do some work on mine
to get it to this
hopefully the later Hot War kits will be of the same standard as the bradley and BTR kits which are cracking |

Shaun, how about a tanker body and a better turret for the T72 I haven't seen any reviews of the Shilka so would be good to see one (mine are in the post according to the email of about an hour ago ) |

Great tip off thanks! Hopefully the Plastic Soldier Company will start carrying these – they already have the T-72s… |

Looks a little bland, how's it look in person |
CAG 19 | 30 Aug 2015 8:46 a.m. PST |
To be honest the 2-S-1 in real life isn't festooned with detail, they are rarely seen with external stowage or tools. The Shilka has plenty of detail but it is moulded on rather than a detail piece which has been added so the relief isn't great. Will see how these paint up and give some better shots but that might be next weekend. |
