Because Corvus Belli can't afford to do this the regular way… |

I think it's actually Modiphius who's footing the bill for I-RPG stuff, even if CB is going to be producing the minis. Anyway, I'm not sure about the first slice of cheesecake but the second does look promising enough. The Aleph "bouncer" guy (behind the link) is also passable, even though I don't dig the pose and don't generally like the hanging suspenders style CB is fond of. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more high tech scifi civilian (or close thereto as in these examples) figures on the market. CB has an annoying habit of sticking their own fare in sets of with two military types and a price tag to match. |

Dual company Kickstarter, yeah because we have seen how smoothly that can go. I would run… run forest run. |

Dual company because CB doesn't have the staff or technical knowledge for making a good RPG. So they licensed the RPG out to someone who has made several. You may not like the rules, but Modiphius has delivered on-time, on-target before. As I understand the relationship, CB is responsible for the minis, Modiphius for the books. |

Modiphius has done three multicompany KS projects so far so they have a degree of experience. None have gone abysmally. Assuming the usual KS delay of 4-6 months, I expect good quality compensation if I do participate. That is entirely pending on how they package the miniature offerings. I did suggest a "miniatures only" pledge level 4X that I couldn't find in their original proposed lineup. |

I'd pledge, but just for the figures. Having just gotten into Infinity, there is a severe lack of civilian figures for the game. It's a shame as the various manufacturers make almost every conceivable piece for scatter terrain. |

According to a Modiphius heads up e-mail, this starts on Wed on Tue this week, depending on minor details: "[W]e're hoping to go live either Wednesday or Thursday THIS WEEK around MIDDAY UK time, depending on when everything is ready. […] We'll be finishing at 8pm UK time on Sunday 4th October" |

Looks like my typo in the previous message turned out to be a prediction. This is the latest from Modiphius: [W]e've been spending time getting the video and graphics just right and adding in some cool new stuff to the Kickstarter page. We need to give Corvus Belli time to approve it so it looks like we'll be launching on Tuesday Meaning Tuesday this week (otherwise known as tomorrow), in case anyone is wondering (-;) But we'll see… Since it's been moved a couple of times already. Seems a bit like maybe it's a two-company KS slowdown in effect by this point. |

Well, it's finally last week's Tuesday: link Looks like somebody else was expecting this to start, it was funded in under an hour! The miniatures however are several stretch goals away still. Which is not making me a super happy puppy but it does look like the project'll get there eventually -- or perhaps sooner than that. |

I have backed Modiphius before…. and I am going for it again I have been pleased with good products…even if the kickstarter delivery dates tend to slip |
Lion in the Stars | 16 Sep 2015 7:04 p.m. PST |
It's Kickstarter. I think the only KS dates that haven't slipped have been Bones 2+ (once Reaper figured out that it was flat going to take a year to get all the molds made and product packed). |

The project looks to be doing quite well, even for a Modiphius project and they've been pretty good sellers (can't be bothered to check how they did so that's all IIRC). This one's about to break £900,000.00 GBP mark at this time of writing. Miniatures seem fairly reasonably priced for Infinity minis, tho I wonder if they could've been cheaper if they were only offered as a set of all 6. Maybe that'll happen down the line. OTOH I'm not at all sure if I really want all of them (the Haqqislam cheesecake at the very top of this thread in particular is not to my taste) so this is still probably for the best in the end. |

…except that currently, they only allow miniature add-ons if you pledge £20.00 GBP first -- quoting costing issues. Meh. Chris Birch let on that there's a chance that they change their minds but unless they do, I won't back this. |

hi there, we added a Pledge for £18.00 GBP – gets you the Faction book in print of your choice (eg Nomad, Haqqislam etc) the RPG Mini of your choice and the Player's Guide for free in PDF. This includes the rules for character generation and you can use the more specific faction rules in the print book to create any kind of character from you favourite faction and then the included rules to convert them to a tabletop figure. So for £18.00 GBP you get a figure, everything you need for your faction and the ability to pump out your own heroes for the Infinity tabletop game. It's called the Faction Fanatic Pledge. |

Still going on on the subject of miniatures, if you do pledge at the level eligible for add-on miniatures (still £20.00 GBP as far as I could tell), can you select multiple copies of a single sculpt or do you have to take different ones? It seems like the answer would be obvious (that is, yes to the former) but I want to be 100% sure since this has obviously created some confusion among some pledge poolers. |
