Well… they are not bad… but those from Waterloo are my favourites… and your's?

Some good ones, also some bad (any Mel Gibson one) The light Horsemen should be up there as a contender for number one.

Gettysburg is a good one, also Chancellorsville in Gods and Generals. I also like the charge of the 8th Brigade in the 1864 series (starts at 38th minute)

Took my two teenagers out for some "back-to-school" shopping. They did lots and lots of "charging." Unfortunately the only film involved was the store security monitoring variety. However, it was just as bloody as some of those listed above.

And a fair number of others too.

The kid needs to see some older movies. Starting with The Charge of the Light Brigade (both 1936 and 1968 versions). Also Taras Bulba (bad movie, good charge scenes), Waterloo (as mentioned above), and numerous others.

I don't remember a cavalry charge in Gettysburg?

Most John Wayne Cavalry movies. Or should I say John Ford?

I don't remember a cavalry charge in Gettysburg?

A lot of the clips in the link are infantry charges.

There were several Cavalry charges at Gettysburg, but they didn't get put into the movie. Too bad.

What about the charge scene from Zardoz? Can't forget that!

I think the cavalry charge in LoTR The Return of the King to be one of the best depictions.

They lost me with the Last Samurai being #1. An absurd charge in a truly lousy movie.

Now the final charge in Gallipoli, that belongs in any set of great charges.

Blackadder. Series 4. Last episode. Last 2 mins.
