We played a GREAT 54mm AWI game using All the King's Men rules at the Rat Palace Redux (my gaming house) in Red Oak, Texas. 5 players. Great times, Great game no headaches and lots of beers were consumed in the process. If you're ever in the DFW area, drop me a line and let's roll some dice! Here's a gallery link:

A great looking game with a fun set of rules.

Very nice. I see that you mixed in some Accurate, Imex, ACTA, AIP Guns along with the ATKM figures. Really makes for a nice looking game. I'm particularly impressed with the painting on the Accurate stand. Well done.

I"m almost done with the AWI collection and to think I was "just going to paint 6 battalions for each side" lol. I'm a convert! Thanks to all for the compliments. I do like me some 54s! Working on the Napoleonic collection in fits and starts. The plan is to have a division of 1812 Brits and 1812 French (with some Confederation of the Rhine battalions of course..I'm partial to Westfalians) with several regiments of horse and supporting artillery. Am well on my way with them. Will post up more pics. I'm thinking there's a WIP page on the blog. Anyway…adios to all…my get my butt up and get ready to teach time is 0430. Got to hit the rack for this evening.

A great looking game. It just shows that you don't need a great number of figures to put on a fantastic looking game. The painting of the figures is really good – an inspiration

The game looks great, no doubt it was a Blast! I have only played a couple of games of ATKM, and it just happened to be that both were w/ 54's. I was a lot of fun and they do look great on a table.
I love the look of this scale, however partly due to cost, but mainly do to size, personally 'if" I ever do AWI it will be with 28mm. To be honest, the 'hand & eyes' arent what they used to be. So no way Im going to try that detail on such a scale.
Besides, with the smaller scale, the more 'toys' we can put on the board to push. (evil gamer grin).
