The Dog days of Summer are nearly past meaning that fall will shortly be following, and with the fall comes the annual Good, Bad and Ugly Tournament. This year we're going with the theme of armies based on mythology and legend, however a theme army is not required to participate.

I am happy to announce that we have added a new Leg to the tournament this year, the Tornado Alley Leg in Dallas, Texas and John Hovey will be the Leg Coordinator. If others are interested in joining please contact me and we can chat about it as there is still time.

In addition to the same prize categories we had last year – 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall Winners, a Tail End Charlie and a Barker Award in honor of Phil and Sue Barker who have given us the great set of rules we play, Additionally, there will be trophies for each of the categories of overall winners. I am very grateful to three local HotT players, David Crenshaw, Paul Potter and Joe Collins, for volunteering to paint the figures for this years trophies

For this year the Leg Coordinators have come up with a great idea for the top award winner's prizes – that being, instead of assigning the prize army to the placement, we are going to let the top place winners choose the army prize they want (we'll give them a week to do so which should be plenty enough time). I personally really like this as it will let the winners pick an army they might more enjoy. The prizes for this year are:

A King Arthur Army
A Norse Myth Army
An Irish Epic Ulster Army

Plus we will have the traditional fun Tail End Charlie Award and trophy and a the special Barker Marker and Trophy for the best theme army voted on by the world (we'll post pictures of each Leg's candidate on various forums and let anyone who wishes vote on their favorite).

The locations and coordinators as of now are(Tournament Dates are indicated if known at this time):

North Yorkshire, UK – Bob Carter – November 22nd
Glasgow, Scotland – Euan Caldwell – November 3rd
Staines, UK – Tim Moore (Staines Massive/GBnU) – November 1st
Sydney, Australia – Steve Jones – TBA
San Antonio, Texas – Blake Radetzky (Republic of Texas) – November 7th
Dallas, Texas – John Hovey (Tornado Alley) – TBA
Saline, Michigan – Bob Beattie (Midwest USA – GBnU Tournament) TBA
Atlanta, Georgia – Tom Thomas – TBA

Stay tuned for further announcements on the 2015 Good, Bad and Ugly HotT Tournament.

Anyone interested in playing in the Atlanta leg let me know. We are working on time and location now.

It will be in 25/8mm using the D3H2 version of HOTT.

Had a great event last year and hoping to expand.
