I have painted a few Reaper CAV mechs, for the Toys for Tots auction at this year's Fall In. The models are Bones (the platic-y material) and were easy to paint. I have some more pictures at my blog, link Thanks for looking!

I always have liked the CAV stuff as a grittier, more realistic take on giant mechs, and you have made them look really good. |

Those look great! I'm eagerly awaiting when they finally deliver the Kickstarter shipments. How was the bending on the gun barrels? Was there much, and if so did they straighten easily enough with the usual methods? |

Chris, I'm a backer of this too and am working on my early bird mechs. There was a variety of bend to the longer weapon arms, and the usual boiling water/ice water trick worked just fine to straighten them out. Maybe 2 or 3 had the legs twisted enough I felt I had to dunk them. The ones with short arms (or no arms) were mostly fine straight out of the box, just gave them a cleaning and started painting. |
