I am considering doing this. How many of you do this? Anyone with pictures to share? Thanks in advance for any insights or ideas! Russ |

Depending on game scale I even use 6mm buildings. It's all about creating an aesthetic you enjoy. |

I will happily use 10mm or N gauge buildings with 15mm figures. The smaller footprint allows for better looking built-up areas, but the disparity between the buildings and the figures is not very noticeable:
More pictures of the same game here: link 6mm buildings, with the 15mm soldiers looking into the second floor windows as they march past, is not an aesthetic I can enjoy. |

For skirmish games we use 15mm buildings. But for AWI and ACW regimental games, we use 10mm buildings. Gives you the look of built up areas with out taking up a lot of table space. Great pics War Artisan! what line of buildings are in your pictures. I should add, we have used 6mm buildings to show a village off in the distance on the edge of the table. |

Many people follow the principle of "one size down" for buildings. |

we have used 6mm buildings to show a village off in the distance on the edge of the table. Clever use of forced perspective there, Ironwolf. The buildings in that Gettysburg game were about half N gauge railroad buildings (some from Musket Miniatures' "Rustic Rails" line, but the rest I don't remember) and the rest were cardstock models rescaled to match. |

A lot of my customers buy buildings 'one scale down' from their figures, Scott Washburn paperterrain.com |

I am working on a grand tactical game in 28mm, but there are not enough 20mm buildings, so I am looking at 15mm the only other way is to condense and astract building foot print but keep door and ground floor windows to scale |

At least half of the folks that have purchased my Between the Lines range of 10mm ACW buildings are 15mm gamers. They all say the footprint of the 15mm is too great. B crackerlineminis.com |

Well I am a 28mm gamer, who is looking at Grand Tactical Games and need small footprint buildings |

Are there many 10mm buildings of the right period available? and what scale buildings would you use with 10/12mm figures? (6mm?) |
