Also in the current Aikens Airplanes catalog are these 1/200 pre-painted 1942 US aircraft, F4F-4 Wildcats, TBD-1 Devastators, SBD-3 Dauntless and B-25Bs: aikensairplanes.com/1-200 I believe these were released to adorn a 1/200 model of the carrier Hornet, so if you've ever been ambitious to own one of those, google it up, it's Merit International brand, like the planes. If you collect 1/200 WWII aircraft, these look like very good value. They're plastic, not metal, with clear canopies. A nice feature is that the USN aircraft come with decal sheets that allow you to change the plain blue-and-white national insignia to include the red rudder stripes and meatball that was still used in the Coral Sea battle, and to add individual id numbers. |

I have the B-25s, very nice. 4 to a pack, with wheels extended to sit on a deck or runway. I cut them off, put magnets on them and they look great flying. Cheap price for bombers in this scale, already painted. Dan |
