I am trying to finish off my ongoing Indian armies project and would like to add so naked, long haired and bearded, ash covered Hindu fanatics to the mix. Can anyone suggest suitable figures? I have tried celts but most seem to come with shields attached that cannot be shifted, same seems to go for hoplites though they seem to have helmets in place. |

I've painted these in 28mm recently and I've had a quick scout around the web and I think the Xyston Miniature 15mm mercenary Indian infantry come quite close. They are for the most part bare chested and wear a dhoti that you could paint a tangerine colour. The heads are small enough to paint up as top knots or just leave as is. |

Check out Museum Miniatures, he has a range of 15mm naked figures, plus some nice Mycenean light infantry who might do.
