I played another game of Age of Sigmar.
And actually didn't hate it all.

It didn't really happen in this game, but the lack of things running away means a lot of the AoS games I've played or heard about seem to degenerate into a single big scrum in the centre of the board.
It also seems to reward shooting – I had one round of above average shooting against swordsmen, killing three, who then failed their Battleshock and lost three more.
Finally the fact that it's just a single D6 makes it a bit swingy – you can either pass and nothing happens or you fail and lose a lot. |
