I have finished my first batch of Huron/Iroquois warriors, and I want to show them off. I really liked the old F&F range, but I love these. Before I started painting them, I was a bit intimidated, but I think they turned out well.

They turned out very well. I want these figs.

What do you think…about painting designs on those wooden shields? Those flat surfaces just cry out for graphic design: clan symbols or town heraldry or spirit protectors. Plains Indians decorated their shields, and there's rock art out west showing that the practice started far back in prehistory, before the horse. But I can't find any references to shield devices in the Eastern Woodlands. Dang.

Mine are still sitting on my painting table, waiting for the first paint to be slopped on. Shivering in their pristine white nakedness.

Nice work I am starting on some Indians tonight for my AWI project.

@zippy…. If it looks good, go for it. Even if you just go with geometric or abstract patterns, it'll add interest. Look at examples of Huron/Iroquois art from the period for inspiration.

To the rest of you, have fun. I have no imagination, so they are pretty plain, but they cry out for some wild warpaint.

They look good. Any thoughts of putting a bow string on the bows.

@Disco Joe…. Nope!
