I wonder if they will start waving the IP stick at all those companies that make 'not' Doctors … |

Let's hope the figures look better than the Dad's Army ones! Could be good, though! |

BBC is surprisingly loose with Doctor Who licensing I've noticed. There probably won't be any IP stick waving, except to grant more licenses. |

I'm glad I kept all my Black Tree figures. Looking forward to seeing the new ones. |

The existing game is pretty good on its own. We'll see how Warlords' pans out. At least it will be easier to get figs now. |

Interesting. I heard a rumor about a year or so ago about a new Who miniatures game and range, but was told that GW had got the licence. The source wasn't a gamer, and maybe mistook the ex-GW employees at Warlord for GW. Great stuff though. I've been a huge fan for years. |

So what happens to the BTD Doctor Who line? |

Looking forward to waves of plastic Cybermen so I can afford a massive army. |

The BTD figures are great! And I've picked up some of those to use in BOlt Action crossover games…. But plastics are great for the hordes, I do have 40 Cybermen and 40 Daleks from the old GW plastic box sets. |

And fortunately "license" and "exclusive license" are distinctly different ^,^ |

I was not impressed with the Warlord Terminator character models I saw at Historicon. Tiny, expensive, resin crap, that didn't really look like anything. New style Cybermen and others would be nice. Like a lot of things, this will be great if well done. |

Given that BTD were meant to be only "selling their existing stocks" after they lost the licence I'd expect Warlord to point them out to the BBC. Then the Beeb will give them the IP stick beating they deserve as BTD have been "finding" more stock for a decade or so. The "not" doctors and tardises should be safe from any IP threat as they are generic enough. BTD's range of copyrighted monsters less so. I like the Terminator resins, apart from the price, certainly they're a good likeness. I believe they are produced by River Horse not Warlord. |

As long as this means MORE Dr. Who minis, and not LESS from the existing stocks and "look alikes" I am all for it. If Heresy, Crooked Dice, etc and others are suppressed I will be extremely unlucky… |

Fortunately those who have produced "not" versions will I am sure find plenty other themes to follow. If I'm honest I don't need much in the way of Doctor Who figures, but I wouldn't object to replacing old Black Tree characters, and I'm hoping for plastic sets of types we could use in quantity. I'm ok for Daleks but my new type Cybermen are the rather skinny Micro-universe ones, no longer available. A box of new Cybermen would be excellent. |
