I played (or rather my kids did) a game of Age of Sigmar

Not really a fan yet:

My impression as well

I haven't played a game and don't see myself ever doing so, but it seems from the handful of YouTube battle reports that the gane can be very swingy. I often see a unit charge another in melee and between the attack rolls and the morale tests, the defender is obliterated in a single round. It does seem to generally balance itself out, because then the defender will charge with another unit and completely obliterate the first as well.

I always liked the slugfests of 3rd edition, when every attack roll felt important.

Which Realm were you playing in?

The Realm of Mi Owse. Ruled over by an evil despot where two warring siblings – Mi Kidz are forever locked in combat.

I have no idea what realms are. I tried reading the new AoS "fluff" but it's the most humourless, turgid, one note, uninspiring tripe that it made my eyes bleed and my heart sad.

I think as we're still using Orcs instead of Orruks, Elfs instead of Aelfs and Empire instead of Iiiiimpyre that we're playing in the Warhammer World. Or "The World that was Blown Up"
