Has anyone tried to make French Lancers by combining the new Warlord Games Chasseurs a Cheval with the Carabiner heads from Perry Heavy Cav? Looks like to me it would work and I'm pretty sure I have the extra heads somewhere.

I asked the same question a little while ago and was told "wait for Warlord's plastic lancers which are coming out soon."

An easy release for them and very clever.

Horses/saddlery the same. Uniforms identical to chasseurs, but, for the front rank at least, they will need to add some new right hands of course!

Just produce a brass helmet with a woolen crest and a turban in fur and you have a lancer!

Well before the Warlord release I did a few myself using various Perry bits

Easier with the Warlords I think.

Done it myself from much-converted Perry French hussar legs and dragoon torsos and helmets. A sure-fire way of having a manufacturer bring the real thing out soon after.

A lot of faff, and I'll wait for Warlord rather than do any more.

Waterloo 1815 seems to have beat them to it.

Oh, sorry. You blokes were talking about 25mm, I presume. Waterloo 1815 is a 1/72 line.
