Not cheap, but it looks great.

Poor St. Cyr…the only Marshal of France to have his baton delivered by FedEx. I think if Napoleon actually had to hand him the baton, he would have accidentally dropped it in the mud first.

And they were 'Marshals of the Empire' not of France.

You know, I meant to write Empire…

I stand corrected re: Suchet, but I think Napoleon took great pleasure in not having to personally bestow the baton upon St. Cyr.

Andreď Popov is one of the best Russian historians on 1812. (You may even delete the 'Russian')
His work consults all sides, his analysis is balanced and well-founded.
