"Black Hat Napoleonic 15mm Opinions on the range?" Topic

I'm thinking of getting some Black Hat Napoleonic 15mm they look nice on the website. That said I've never seen them in the flesh so to speak.

Anyone have any comments on the range and on compatability with other brands?

Two questions come to mind could an army be put together from Black Hat's limited range and if not whose figures best match them?

You could certainly put together an army though you might find some units you can't build, and many would only have one pose.

Mixing is a matter of taste so you just have to look. Frankly I mi everything under the sun…

I recently finished 36 line and grenadier battalions and 3 artillery brigades of Russians based for Empire and really like them.

Well these arrived and they are indeed very nice figures in every respect. Using figures from the 'enthusiastic' and wounded packs gives a varied and animated unit.

That said I dug out a previous order from Fantassin while I was waiting for this order. Having painted up a couple of units I've now decided to go with 18mm with the rest of the armies coming from Xan and CGM.

My Blackhat French are likely to form part of a Liberators project for Latin America.
