As I fan of weird German armor, I was quite happy that I could take a unit of three Waffenträger in the Berlin Kampfgruppe in Flames of War. Battlefront decided to go with the Ardelt prototype, which is a cool little vehicle, but isn't the most elegant thing out there:

I've generally much preferred the Krupp-Steyr version, which is sort of a "sports car" Waffenträger if you will. It's low slung and has the PaK 43 armament in an almost ridiculously small turret at the rear:

… and for ONCE, I didn't have to resort to scratch-building or converting one of these beasts myself. Heer 46 decided to actually make one, and overall it's pretty good:

There are a few issues, but they're fairly minor, and I'll be able to spend more time painting this beast than constructing it… no really!

Yeah, the 'waffletractor' is a fun piece. I've bought quite a few bits and bobs from Heer46, he is great to work with.
