I am designing a game for schoolchildren in which they will take the roles of Theseus or the Minotaur and fight in the labyrinth. I would be very grateful for recommendations for 28mm or 15mm figures of Theseus (armed with sword), the Minotaur (no weapons; bull's head, human torso and bull's hindlegs) and male/female Thenian sacrificial victims. I don't mind whether the humans are Bronze Age or more Classical Greece in style, but would prefer UK manufacturers. Thanks in anticipation for your help! |

Wargames Foundry makes a set in 28mm. Here is one from their ebay store: auction Check their website also, they may have suitable figures in their other ranges. |

While it includes weapons, the Reaper bones minotaur is one where they could easily be removed. |

I second using Foundry, but the spartan command pack has pretty tough looking guys to be a good Theseus. But I dont usually prefer characters like Theseus to be kneeling or crouching. |

At a wopping 70mm he's probably too big, but the Minotaur figure by Alternative Armies is one of the best around, I think: link |

This minotaur comes from a brand which I hadn't come across before I bought him, Uscarl Miniatures. It's a French range, but we shouldn't hold that against them. I believe this chap is intended to play in a fantasy football game but he suits my purposes just fine. Quite pricey (he's a whole lot of lead), and not the fastest postage, but worth the wait. |
