Some of the Conquest/Warlord American Colonial Ranger series might do. It's hard to see because his jacket and leggings are both painted dark green, but the guy on the extreme left in this picture is dressed exactly like your color plate: link |

It was some sort of woodwind instrument. It was called the musketune. |

A set of figures in unlaced uniform coats, tricornes and Indian leggings would be very useful, particularly for loyalist troops. It's probably too much to expect a plastics sprue of such figures from the Perries, although the separate hat system would work very well on those. Maybe a couple of metal packs might find their way onto Alan's list. In the meantime, another alternative would be to use the Perry Saratoga British figures that have leggings (so the charging and firing line packs) and either remove the hat and replace with plastic ones or do head swaps with other metal figures. |
