My conquistador army is coming along well. I'm thinking of adding some special characters. Who makes a 28mm Knight of the Woeful Countenance? Ideally, mounted on Rosinante, wearing the Golden Helmet of Mambrino at a jaunty angle. A dismounted version would be cool too, and figures of other major named characters from the story, especially Sancho Panza and Dulcinea, would just be candy. |

There is a Mordheim figure in the GW range. That's the one I have. Edit. I really should read before I post. |

That's him! The horse looks a little too healthy, I'll have to work on that. Hail, Knight of the Woeful Countenance! Knight of the Woeful Countenance. Wherever you go, face to the foe, They will quail at the sight Of the Knight of the Woeful Countenance! |

Now that I see the figure, a further question… Did Cervantes ever describe what coat of arms Don Q blazoned on his shield? He musta had one, right? A quick google of 'Don Quixote coat of arms' turned up not very much. The Cervantes family had arms. The modern region Castile-La Mancha has a coat of arms, which I might purloin, since Don Q styled himself Lord of La Mancha. Does anyone have anything more? |
