Just in case you like board games too, just bought and played this one and it is an absolutely cracking game. Best game of the whole of WW2 I have every played and I have tried a few. link Steve |

Interesting. Sounds like something between "Risk" and "Supremacy". Might have to give it a try. The name is consistent with the truism that logistics win wars. |

This looks really good. May have to grab this, based on your review. Thanks! |

I've played it and it is a fun beer and pretzels game. Don't expect realism, and you need to understand that this is not a "grab territory game' it's a keep your units supplied game. |

You mention it is a relatively quick game. How long is "quick" :) Am guessing would slow down a bit with more players as most games do. |

It is advertised as 90 minutes. Probably took us about an hour as game finished after 11 turns but we were also learning. I think it will depend on how familiar the players are with the game and the tactics – with more players you can plan you next move as you won't have multiple countries to think about so may actually speed up |

I really like this game, there is a new expansion called Air Marshal which makes the game even better. The playing time is actually longer with fewer players because you have more cards to consider for each player. |

The title of this post had me thinking that it was a game about SUPPLYING the WWII armies. "Okay, I'm moving 25 million K-Rations to Normandy…" |

it is an absolutely cracking game No doubt I am in a minority but I do not agree. You get a hand of cards pre-set by the designer that you have to play in the order in which they are drawn. You do not get to choose your strategy as this will be dictated by the card draw and I think there are few genuine choices; the game seems to play you as much as you play the game. |

A lot harder to make these kind of strategic level games 'good' than games at tactical levels. If you break out of the ruts of history and decide to have D-Day in '43 or go straight for southern France and ignore Italy how realistic are you chances of success? Designer prejudice can ruin this level of game play. Third Reich was at a much lower level than this but our games usually followed the script. Partly because the time and effort needed discouraged innovation. You don't want to waste a weekend of playing time by doing something out of the box. |

We played IIIR enough that we were able to try out the various alternate strategies – Med First, France 1939, invade Spain, invade Turkey, Overlord 43 etc. I was younger then and had more time. Hope to be playing QMG in a couple of weeks. |

I would be very interested to know how that work out Martin – I hope you will post about it on here or your blog. |
