Prime opponent Sean and I were finally able to get another game of Armada in! As always, my game room is the lab--and this time I wanted to finally put a Corvette swarm on the board. I knew that it wouldn't be as strong as I once thought, but I had yet to see for myself! It should do okay unless it runs into the Motti brick wall! Oh. Prime Opponent went for his first 3 VSD Motti build. Ouch!

With a 1 point "bid", Sean elected to go first and chose Hyperspace Assault from my objectives. I planned to get Salvation back there and just hammer away. So, how did the swarm do? Read on to find out!

Thanks nice AAR, It works out to fit in with most games I have played so far the score for my games are emps 36 rebs 6 no mater what side is played by who. SDers are just very hard to kill and if used in a close V formation are very hard to kill. I find the Rebs live longer if you keep them at Med and long range :)

That was so cool! I am resisting Armada but the pull or the force is taking its toll on me with cool reports like this. Thanks,

I was torn with it, having invested in Xwing, but I find it much more enjoyable, enough that I sold off all my X-wing ships to fund this

Well, the corvettes took a pounding. What I would like to see added to the game would be some REALLY cheap rebel ships. Converted freighters which might have one shield on each arc and one attack die and only cost about 25 points. Give them the option of carrying a one-shot missile salvo which could do some damage. It seems to me the Rebellion ought to have flocks of ships like that: hastily converted civilian ships which are basically cannon fodder.

The AAR was great. Corvettes vs. Star Destroyers, hmm, never let it be said the Rebels arent willing to take risks.

*Hunter4a, I feel your 'pain'. LOL
But with my interest in 28mm mini; trying to get a 15mm armor company together and working to build a couple of forces of predreadnaughts, I just cant see funding 'another' game. But oohhh Armada miniatures look amazing.
The Nebulon Frigate is still one of the best out there I think, but still yet to see the Mon Cal cruisers.

When SW Starship Battles came out I thought they were going to be "the" perfect wargame for SW and pretty reasonable. BUT.. when I got my two Commerce Guild Destroyers and saw the 'tail' sections were warped.. well that hope went down the drain.
