For a while I've been wanting to build some walls for my Pulp Alley meets Rogue Trader project.

I went through no less than three designs before landing on one that works well. You can see all the designs over on the blog: link

They're versatile – useful for corridors and rooms, and for a podium (the original reason I built them).

@ Terrement. Drat, I knew I missed something!

@ Zargon. I'll post here once they're done, it may be a little while.

Very nice I'll be curious to see how the cork takes paint.

Beautifully. I generally use a sampler pot of house paint – cheaper than Vallejo! No undercoat needed, it sticks fine. And the texture means you can dry brush easily to create some variation in the finish.

Those are very nice. And yes, those sample paints are nice and inexpensive.

And sometimes lead to awkward questions during a game: "Is that bunker done in Martha Stewart Rustic Home Collection Sage with Honey Mustard accents?"

"erm… yeah."

Ha ha, love it! That could be a thing: the Martha Stewart honey mustard bunker.

Really good idea and great execution.

Thanks for sharing.

Sorry, haven't come back to this thread until now. The cork is 6mm thick, 30cm square. It's for cork flooring.
