Hello, can someone maybe advice me what the different heads in the box portray? Especially the Fez and "bald with braid" heads puzzle me… Also, the Dolman style Torsos, what would they be fitting best? I'm trying to build some Ghuzz cavalry, but can't find pictorial evidence. Thank you! |

If I ever need to assemble 19th century Ottoman cavalry, the Dolmans and Fez will come in handy. Until then, ignore these for anything resembling "arabs". The "bald with braid" best go in the kit-box for Mongols, perhaps the odd Cossack. |

Those were exactely my thoughts too, but I still hope to find out that GB put more thoughts in a box of crusade era horsemen… The baldies are also present in GBs own metal turcoman horsemen, i just saw… |

Turcomans, Turkmen, however you want to spell it. The "fez" and the braided jacket are based on Ian Heath's drawing at link based on link (notably the camp scene). The shaved head is shown on some warriors in Seljuq 13th-century art, though I can only recall seeing infantry with shaved heads, not horsemen. |
