Having just scratch built 2 post mills for Ligny, let me say that this is a very nice looking model, and a welcome addition. However, the website lists the price as zero, improbable, and the dimensions as listed seem very large for tabletop use (200 mm base – that's about 8" – mine had a 60mm square base and frankly even that was large compared with most 28mm buildings. Finally, it seems to me that it might be missing – the post at the base that makes it a Post mill. Perhaps an assembly error? Perhaps deliberate too, as the site mentions that the mill can be rotated (and he stairs are hinged to facilitate this, a nice touch) My scratch built version:

Hi Gonsalvo Excellent looking windmill We have just completed three windmills for Spain, but have used a cloth effect for the sail. We now want to make a couple for northern Europe, and are stuck on what to use for the sails. What did you use? Do you have any photos online showing them from the front? |
