Does anyone play Judge Dredd and how is it? Is more of a role-playing? And who makes the figures?

You can get a Dredd miniatures game by mongoose link
Not tried it yet as me and two buddies have been using combatzone rules for it using wargames foundry figures link
And various others for wasteland gangs as our games involve bust ups on the perimeter of a mega city or underneath a la necromunda .

I mainly use Pulp Alley for Dredd. Depending on my mood, I've used 5150 or All Things Zombie for Dredd games.

Assuming Mongoose's JD is being asked about here, there is a role playing game and a miniatures game. The former I don't know about but the latter I've played a couple of times. I don't know of any other "living" and "official" JD games.

The Mongoose miniatures game is "a gang warfare game with campaign system" rather like Necromunda (assuming that tells you anything). The rules are simple and even though there are some hooks the basic one-off games might tend towards simplistic after a few rounds. I haven't tried the campaign which probably enhances the experience.

There is a long and recent review of the starter set on BoardGameGeek:

Miniatures are somewhat obviously provided by Mongoose and/or their collaborator Warlord:
