Just thoguht I would ask for input on people's favorite ancient and naval miniatures before making the jump and buying some fleets to do battle. I have always liked the Raming Speed line of 1:900 ships by Valiant. I vaguely remember Cog Wars being popular in 15mm I believe Any recommndations for viking and medieval naval actions? Thanks for your suggestions. Bill |

Dave Manley just put out a set of rules called Lord of the Sea. I bought them and have tried them once. Very nice and highly recommended. link As for ancient naval miniatures Xyston are very nice as are the ramming speed miniatures. If you are crazy like me and want to do fleet actions with dozens of ship check out Outpost Wargameing Services 1/3600 ships. They also make nice Cogs for Lord of the Sea. link |

Second on the Xyston, they are the Thoroughbred of the ancient era. Those Outpost offerings look darn fine as well! |
