Granted I have no working knowledge of OD Green from WWII but: Take your paint and put it in a storage shed. Have the temperature drop below freezing for a couple of days then have it warm up (inside of shed must have been 80 degrees). Then take out the paint and try and use it. We were going to use it but it came out a weird shade of green. Ended up going down to a hobby shop and buying 2 cans of spray OD Green and used it to touch up the paint job on our M577 APC (camo brown and black was also used). It came out fantastic. |

Thanks for sharing this. I have a tough time choosing some modern military colors, and articles like this really help. |

Long ago, when doing research for painting my U.S WW2 forces, I read somewhere that Tamyia Olive Drab was the "best" color, but apparently the tone changed a little over the years during and after WW2. |
